Introducing the classy six eyelet split toe derby in a burgundy Shell Cordovan from Horween Chicago (incl. shoe tree).
This model can be manufactured in any Cordovan colour. Please specify your preferred colour.
This style features a single oak-bark tanned sole from Rendembach Jr. and full calf lining color brown. This shoe, like all the other Carmina´s, is carefully manufactured by expert craftsmen who follow the exact same techniques that Charles Goodyear created in 1869.
For this style, we have chosen the Simpson last, one of our best-sellers. Simpson offers a semi-squared tip and a long and narrow appearance. Perfect for elegant and smart looks. As it is one of our narrowest lasts, we recommend to upload at least half a size. In case of doubts, please contact our team.
SIMPSON
Simpson is the sister last of the Rain, and one of the most popular lasts. This last was conceived as a fashionable last. However, it was designed to be a timeless last that did not have excessive features. It has an elongated forepart and a fine squared-off toe, and fitting is slightly narrower at the toe area when compared to the Rain. This last is usually the best choice for more elegant models, and it is often manufactured with a plain leather sole. Compared to our other lasts, we describe it as a narrow last in E width. Clients usually tend to go up half a size in comparison to their usual Carmina size.

Cordovan
Shell Cordovan is a staple material of fine men’s shoemaking. Shell cordovan looks smooth, lustrous, and richly coloured in shades of burgundy, brown, and black. Shell Cordovan is a much more labour-intensive leather than cowhide. Cordovan shoe will age very well and develop a particularly beautiful patina over time. The name Shell comes from the circular shape of the skin. Today, only a few factories in the world tan shell cordovan. Rendenbach
Oak-bark tanned leather sole from John. Rendenbach ("JR") in Germany. Because of the tight grain of an oak-bark tanned leather soles, they wear longer and require more infrequent replacing. Leather with the JR-Brand label is waterproof and extremely abrasion resistant, tough yet flexible, very comfortable to wear and optically distinguished by its attractive grain and warm, woody colour.
